threatening to beat

Anger Rising
Hatred coursing through veins
Till it becomes to much
and the flock breaks the reins

The loyal flock scatters
like a brick through glass
Kicking along pieces
as if kicking emotions of the past

These emotions everlasting
threatening to over come
the pain that feeds
making everything numb
The hatred kept secret
waiting to be released
A domestic animal
Turned rabid beast

When abused like cattle
even an animal will learn

My life has become a welcome mat to misery and pain.
Happiness flows away from me, like water down a drain.
I have become a filter holding nothing but rust.
Like an unbeaten rug, consuming nothing but dirt and dust.
I am an unwashed shelf, accumulating nothing but grime.
I am a shell of a man doing his time.
I am a reflection of whom I used to be.
Who I am now remains a mystery.

ILLUSION

In a daze I sit and stare.
I think, what do I have in common with this blue chair.
It has four legs, I have two.
The only similarity I can see, is we are both blue.
It occupies the spot in front of my desk.
Just like my life the desk is a mess.
Nothing in order, everything scattered and askew.
Damn, the desk symbolizes my life to.
It is sad to think these objects represent what I have become.
Just like the table and chair, I cannot run.
Stuck in one spot, not how I wish this to be.
Yet I can't move. This is not how I want things to be.
My window is unclear.
You just can't see.
As it is through my eyes.
This room represents me.
My soul screams out, for anyone to hear.
What this chair and I don't have in common is this fallen tear.
The end is close.
My emotions ceasing to exist.
Because of this the chair is on my best friend list.
While I sit with my new legs on the floor in my chair.
I lose myself in the moment and when you look you wonder if I was even ever there.

My Demon

I'm lost to myself
weak and alone
a demon dwells inside me
my heart is now its home

i have become a plague
inflicting misery everywhere i go
the demon that dwells inside
has claimed me to be its home

it laughs at my failure
and feeds upon my pain
it feeds at me from the inside out
it whispers we're both the same

it rewards me with temptations
through out each and every day
it says one of us will die
i hope its right because living has become agony

so to whom it may concern
i've lost my will to care
the demon inside has won
this body, we can no longer share

with this chair, this rafter, and this rope
my death can be conveyed
the demon told me this is the only way my debt to this world can be repaid.
